RESTORING AND REPLACING TEETH IN THE AESTHETIC ZONE: SMART SOLUTIONS FOR CHALLENGES IN FIXED AND IMPLANT PROSTHODONTICS – Dr.Keng Mun WONG (Singapore)

The focus on aesthetic outcome has intensified. With better knowledge in aesthetic treatment planning and smile analysis, we are in a better position to address our patient’s aesthetic concerns. However, if old or conventional techniques and materials were used to treat these highly demanding patients, we are still not able to satisfy them adequately. Proper clinical diagnosis, updated clinical and surgical techniques as well as good laboratory support are essential to ensure long term predictable outcome in these cases. This lecture will focus on the techniques and materials required to perform excellent indirect restorations and aesthetic implant restorations in everyday practice.

Topics to be covered:
Preservation vs. Recreation
Implant site development
Perio-restorative interface
Periapical radiograph guided surgery
Immediate implant placement
Pontic site development
Provisional support
Root submergence technique
Cad-Cam technology and material selection
